eznpc Where to Find Mole Rats in Fallout 76 Fast Spawn Spots

Mole Rats are one of those "why am I doing this again?" jobs in Fallout 76, until you actually need the meat, the hide, or a quick stack of junk for crafting. If you're trying to stay efficient, it helps to plan the run like any other farm route—fast travel, clear, loot, move. And while you're sorting your loadout or topping up supplies, I've seen plenty of players pair their grind with deals on cheapest Fallout 76 items so they're not wasting time hunting for every last component when they just want to get back out there.

Watoga's Underground Loop

If you can handle the area, the subway system under Watoga is still one of the most dependable Mole Rat checks. It's cramped, it's dark, and that's kind of the point—Mole Rats don't have much room to scatter, so you're not chasing burrows across open ground. Walk the tunnels slowly, listen for the digging audio, and keep your V.A.T.S. ready because they'll pop in groups. You'll also bump into other things worth looting while you're down there, so it rarely feels like a wasted trip even if the spawns are a little light on one pass.

Morgantown Trainyard for Easy Clears

When I'm on a lower-level character, or I just don't feel like sweating it, Morgantown Trainyard is the calmer option. You'll spot Mole Rats around the yard, near the tracks, and inside those half-collapsed warehouse spaces where they like to ambush. It's a good place to do a quick lap, grab what you need, and bail. Bring a weapon that swings fast, because they're small and annoying, and you'll burn ammo if you panic-shoot every time the ground moves. If you're farming meat for cooking, this is one of the least stressful runs in the early-to-mid game.

Quiet Tunnels Near Grafton

If you hate competing for kills, the Abandoned Mine near Grafton can feel like a private room. The spawns tend to be steady, and the tight tunnels keep the fights close, so you're not losing bodies in tall grass or down a hill. Just don't get sloppy. There are hazards that'll nick your health when you least expect it—radiation pockets, falling debris, that kind of thing. I usually keep RadAway on a hotkey and watch my footing, because dying to the environment in a "simple" farm is the sort of thing that sticks with you.

Make Nests Do the Work

The real trick a lot of people ignore is Mole Rat nests. If you hear the squealing and see that little mound, don't smash it straight away. Let it spawn a wave, clear them, then decide if you want another. It's basically a controllable mini-farm, and it's great for meat, hide, and a bit of XP without sprinting all over the map. I'll usually swap to melee for this—cheaper, cleaner, and it keeps the fight from turning into a reload simulator. And if you're trying to speed up the grind with supplies or currency on the side, it's worth knowing sites like eznpc exist for buying game items so you can spend more time farming what you actually enjoy instead of scraping for every last material
